Hey guys, so here is my first article!! I chose to write about what I did after I had finished my high school, because this was the time when it all started. (or actually, it had started already the summer before when I worked in Greece and I realised that I love it!).
The reason I didn’t go to a university directly was that I wanted to have some more adventure in my life, because I come from a village in the Czech Republic and there is not so much to explore. I miss there some exciting opportunities for me. Thus I wanted to combine travelling and working abroad, because this is a good way to see different places, understand different cultures and earn some money next to it.

Ahoj všichni, tak tady je můj první článek!! Rozhodla jsem se psát o tom, co jsem dělala po ukončení střední školy, protože v té době to všechno začalo (vlastně ono to začalo už to léto předtím, kdy jsem pracovala v Řecku a uvědomila jsem si, že to mám rádá!)
Důvod, proč jsem nešla na vysokou školu hned po střední byl, že jsem chtěla zažít více dobrodružství v mém životě, protože pocházím z menší vesnice v Česku, kde není hodně věcí k objevování a chybí mi tam nějaké zajímavé příležitosti pro mě. Proto jsem chtěla zkombinovat cestování s prací v cizině, protože to je dobrý způsob, jak můžeme vidět různá místa a porozumět jiným kulturám a k tomu si vydělat.
My first destination after my final exams was (of course) Greece, because I couldn’t miss that place in the summer. After my summer in Greece had finished, it was time to choose a new destination. Luckily, my friend and I got an opportunity to work in Switzerland for a while. It was a totally different experience comparing to our summers in Greece. Totally different environment, people, mentality and language. We loved it both and we were so excited about our next destination.

Moje první destinace po maturitě bylo (samozřejmě) Řecko, protože jsem nemohla být v létě bez tohoto místa. Když léto v Řecku skončilo, bylo na čase vybrat novou destinaci. S kamarádkou jsme dostaly možnost pracovat ve Švýcarsku na nějakou dobu. Byla to úplně jiná zkušenost, když jsme to porovnaly naším létům v Řecku. Úplně jiné prostředí, lidé, mentalita a jazyk. Obě dvě jsme si to užily a už jsme se těšili na naši další destinaci.
The Netherlands was the next destination for me. This experience was, again, totally different than all the others 😀 I have spent lot of time in the Netherlands and I had even extended my time here (as I’m still here :D). Only for the summer I left to work to Greece (yees, again), but then I came back to the same place in the Netherlands. This was also my last time working in Greece and since that time I’ve been settled in the Netherlands and now I have even finished my first year of a university!

Další destinací pro mě bylo Nizozemsko. Tato zkušenost byla, zase, úplně jiná než ty ostatní. V Nizozemsku jsem strávila hodně času a dokonce jsem si to i prodloužila (protože jsem pořád tady 😀 ). Jenom na léto jsem jela pracovat do Řecka (anoo, zase), ale potom jsem se vrátila zpět do toho stejného místa v Nizozemsku. To bylo také naposledy, kdy jsem pracovala v Řecku a od té doby jsem v Nizozemsku a teď jsem dokonce ukončila i můj první rok vysoké školy!
So as you can see, even though you follow your dreams, the right time to study a university can still come!! I honestly do not regret that I started studying a bit later, because I did what I wanted, which was travelling and working abroad, and that is important. Have a nice day guys! 🙂

Takže jak můžete vidět, i když následujete své sny, ten pravý čas ke studiu vysoké školy může ještě přijít!! Já osobně vůbec nelituji, že jsem šla studovat trochu později, protože jsem dělala to, co jsem chtěla, což bylo cestování a práce v zahraniči a to je důležité. Hezký den všem! 🙂
