Hello everyone, how are you? 🙂 I haven’t published an article for a while, because it has been so hectic since Christmas. You know what it‘s like at the end of December and in January if you’re studying a university. Christmas holidays are not real holidays, because it‘s necessary to finish all the assignments and especially study for the exams… Well, but I was thinking, that I could enjoy the studying a bit more by writing an article from the Christmas period as we visited National moravian-silesian theatre in Ostrava and I would really like to share this experience with you.

Ahoj všichni, jak se máte? 🙂 Už delší dobu jsem nepřidala žádný článek, protože to bylo takové hektické od Vánoc. Víte jaké to je koncem prosince a v lednu, když studujete vysokou školu. Vánoční prázdniny nejsou vlastně skoro ani prázdniny, protože je potřeba udělat všechny úkoly a hlavně se učit na zkoušky… No ale tak jsem si říkala, že bych si to učení trochu zlepšila a napsala ještě teď jeden článek z období Vánoc, protože jsme navštívili Národní divadlo moravskoslezské v Ostravě a chtěla bych se s vámi o tento kulturní zážitek podělit.
Do you like going to theatre? And if yes, do you go often to a theatre? I really enjoy going to a theatre and when I lived in Czech, I used to go quite often with my family to a theatre in Ostrava. Most of the times we went to the National moravian-silesian theatre or to the Jiří Myron Theatre.
I have been only once in a theatre in the Netherlands and it was an open-air theatre in Amsterdam (Btw. it was a really great experience!). That’s why I’m really happy that I again visited the National moravian-silesian theatre in Ostrava with my father when I was in Czech.

Chodíte rádi do divadla? A jestli ano, chodíte často do divadla? Já teda chodím opravdu ráda do divadla, a když jsem pobývala v Česku, tak jsme chodili i docela často s rodinou do divadla v Ostravě. Většinou jsme navštěvovali Národní divadlo moravskoslezské nebo divadlo Jiřího Myrona.
V Nizozemsku jsem zatím byla jenom jednou v divadle a to bylo divadlo pod širým nebem v Amsterdamu (což byl ale skvělý zážitek!), a proto jsem ráda, že jsme zase po dlouhé době o Vánocích s taťkou navštívili Národní divadlo moravskoslezské v Ostravě.
We saw the opera La Traviata at the National moravian-silesian theatre. I had no clue, what the story is about, because I hadn’t read anything about it before so the story was a big surprise for me and I have to say that it was really great. I really liked the story… Honestly, I was totally in the story 😀

V národním divadle moravskoslezském jsme byli na opeře La Traviata. Předtím, než jsme tam šli, jsem si vůbec nečetla, o čem to představení bude, takže vlastně celý děj byl pro mě překvapením. A musím říct, že to bylo fakt super. Hodně se mi líbil celý děj… Úplně jsem se do toho představení vžila 😀
I have to say, the whole theatre was really well done and the actors were amazing. Moreover I really like operas, because they only sing all the time and it’s just amazing. Operas are sometimes difficult to follow, but it was not the case. La Traviatta is an italian opera so they were singing Italian and I don’t understand any Italian, but luckily there are even subtitles in the theatre. Thus it was not difficult to understand the story. I was even surprised that the theatre had not only Czech but also English subtitles. It was really great, because also my boyfriend could follow it. Therefore it means that we will definitely come again! 🙂

Musím říct, že to bylo i hodně pěkně zpracováno a herci to zahráli výborně. Navíc mám ráda opery, protože se tam celou dobu jenom krásně zpívá. Občas jsou opery těžké na pochopení, ale to vůbec nebyl ten případ. La Traviatta je sice italská opera, takže to bylo zpíváno v italštině a já teda italštinu vůbec neovládám, ale naštěstí i v divadle bývají titulky, takže se tomu dalo krásně rozumět. Dokonce jsem byla překvapená, že Národní divadlo moravskoslezské si připravilo ne jenom české, ale i anglické titulky. Takže i můj přítel tomu mohl rozumět, což bylo úplně super a tímpadem to určitě nebyla naše poslední návštěva! 🙂
Luckily I had the great idea to take my glasses with me, otherwise I wouln’t be able to read the subtitles 😀 Our seats were on the gallery so it was farther from the podium. But, honestly, I think the best places are either on the balcony or gallery, because I can see the entire theatre from above and I don’t miss anything. I even can see the orchestra from there, which is also very interesting to me 😀
Moreover, the building of the theatre is really beautiful. It looks great not only outsider, but also imide. The National moravian-silesian theatre is reconstructed and the building is maintained in a historical style. Thus, if you go to the theatre, you experience not only the great theatre show but also the beautiful building itself

No ale ještě, že mě napadlo si s sebou vzít brýle, jinak bych ty titulky asi nepřečetla 😀 Seděli jsme na galerii, což už je trochu dál od podia, ale já osobně sedím nejraději na galerii nebo na balkoně, protože potom vidím celé představení shora a nic mi neunikne. Taky z toho místa vidím orchestr a to je pro mě taky zajímavé 😀
Navíc Národní divadlo moravskoslezské má opravdu krásnou budovu. Ne jenom zvenku, ale i uvnitř vypadá krásně. Národní divadlo moravskoslezské je po rekonstrukci a budova je zachována v takovém historickém stylu. Takže když tam jdete na představení, máte zážitek ne jenom z představení, ale i z té budovy samotné.
Every time I sit in a theatre and watch a performance, I realize how great it’s to go out and have such a kind of fun 🙂 I always leave the theatre with such euphoria and I think of doing it more often… Well, over time I forget about it again, because I find out that I’m quite busy. So probably now it’s the real time to begin visiting theaters regularly.
So it means that I have to look for a theater in the Netherland and if you are from Ostrava or the surrounding area, I would definitely recommend you visiting the National moravian-sileasian theatre. If you are not from that area, I’m sure that a visit to any theater will be worth it. It’s great to enjoy the days in the society <3

Vždycky, když takhle sedím v divadle a sleduji nějaké představení, tak si uvědomím, jak to je super si jednou za čas vyjít a udělat si kulturní večer 🙂 Vždycky odcházím z divadla s takovou eufórií a říkám si, že to musím dělat častěji… No a pak na to v průběhu času nějak zapomenu, protože zjistím, že je pořád co dělat. Tak teď už je asi opravdu nejvyšší čas začít pravidelně navštěvovat divadla!
Takže já si musím najít nějaké divadlo v Nizozemsku a jestli vy jste z Ostravy a okolí, určitě bych vám doporučila navštěvovat Národní divadlo moravskoslezské a pokud ne, tak určitě návštěva jakéhokoliv divadla bude stát za to. Vždyť je to fajn chodit za kulturou <3
